update

Came home yesterday from school at 6 to find that DH's foot was black and oozing puss, immediately took him to urgent care.

spent most of evening there to find out that he probably has MRSA This is a mutant infection that can be fatal. It was so bad that the doctor called in other doctors who were astounded and exclaimed "holy cow"; not what you want to hear from a doctor.

They lanced and drained the foot and bandaged it. We don't know if he will have any permanent damage to that foot yet as the foot is still too swollen.

Also we heard back about his MRI and on the bright side he does not have necrosis...on the down side he probably has MRSA in his hip which would be what we were told was a worse case scenario.

They immediately hospitalized him, he will be there for at least 2-3 days until they get his cultures back, figure out what he actually has and attempt more directed and specific medicine.

It is now 3:15am, i have been up since 8am the previous day, was home for only 15 minuets the whole day previous, at lunch at 11, and not again till this morning at 2am. Also i got to come home to doggie accidents all over the house as the poor dears were unceremoniously left on their own for the evening. Oh and right now i can't go to bed as i have no bedding or couch as everything he has touched and also oozed on in the previous day must be washed before use.

oh and i have to be back at the hospital in about 4 hours in case the doctors show up to make their rounds oh and i have class all day tomorrow and also its the 1st of 3 weeks of midterms and big deliverables in class.

and oh did i mention that my preliminary housing search for a place that is accessible for wheelchairs and also accepts dogs was dismal? not to mention it dawned on me yesterday that it will just be such fun trying to rent a place when i have not worked in the last year and he has been temporarily out of work for going on a month now?

oh and did i also point out that the only open jobs in the area are either way above my experience, ie. directors of whole departments, or they are admin type jobs for which i am way over qualified?!?!?!?

um, you know what? you need to go to whoever looks after it at your school, and tell them what's going on your personal life so you don't get effed on your exams/assignments. they'll understand, and your husband needs you.

GO GET EXTENSIONS/EXCEPTIONS.
